Ewa Leszczyńska
She graduated from the piano class of Jerzy Sulikowski on the instrumental department of Gdańsk Academy of Music and from the singing class of Margaret Hayward on the vocal department of the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Milan. She has honed her skills on masterclass courses given by Thomas Quasthoff, Hartmut Höll, Deborah York, Dalton Baldwin, Ewa Podleś,Olga Pasiecznik, Urszula Kryger, Jadwiga Rappe. She is a vocal and artistic protégée of Jerzy Artysz. As a singer, in 2012,she won First Prize in the Giosuè Carducci Competition in Madesimo together with the pianist Tomasz Pawłowski. As a pianist she has worked with such artists as Ewa Marciniec, Davide Fior, Katarzyna Trylnik, Gianluca Buratto, with whom she has won the Rotary Prize in Milan, and Łukasz Hajduczenia, with whom she has performed in Poland and abroad. From 2007 to 2010, as a singer, she was a member of the Laboratorio Interdisciplinare di Musica e Spettacolo (Limes) in Milan,taking part in many operatic and theatrical shows. In 2015, in Switzerland,she appeared in solo roles during the world premiere of the opera Der 13 Sternbilder aus dem Wallis (dir.Stefan Grögler),and in 2016 and 2017, in Warsaw,she sang Mirteo in Leonardo Vinci’s opera Semiramide Riconosciuta. She has also participated in the project Dunkle Zeiten Wien at the Off Theater in Vienna. She has worked with such Baroque music ensembles as Les Roses Souvages, Arte dei Suonatori, Musica Florea, Royal Baroque Ensemble and Baroque Collegium 1685. In 2017 together with a great pianist Tobias Koch she took part in the Festival Chopin and His Europe in Warsaw.
She is a member of Multi Trio, with which she toured the US in 2016.
