Dorota Zimna
Dorota Zimna holds a doctoral degree in instrumental performance. The Feliks Nowowiejski Music Academy in Bydgoszcz graduate in professor Urszula Bartkiewicz’s harpsichord class (diploma with distinction) and postgraduate studies alumnus at the same academy. She is an assistant professor at the Department of Harpsichord, Organ and Early Music Music of Academy in Bydgoszcz. An active soloist and chamber musician, she has performed in Poland, Germany, Italy, Belgium and Ukraine, co-operating with many different ensembles and orchestras, such as Laboratoire de la Musique, Intemperata, Capella Bydgostiensis. Together with Laboratoire de la Musique ensemble she was honoured with 2nd prize and audience prize in 11th Biagio Marini Competition in Neuburg (Germany 2010), main prize in a competition organized during 12th Bach Festival in Świdnica (2011) and 3rd prize ex aequo in 5th International Early Music Competition Maurizio Pratola in L’Aquila (Italy 2015). She is a lecturer and a member of the organization office during Early Music Methodical Summer Courses in Warsaw. In 2016 she published a book entitled Wariantywność Obsady w twórczości instrumentalnej François Couperina. Obsada a brzmienie utworu, together with a CD recording François Couperin – Compositeur Royal. Together with ensamble Intemperata she recorded a CD with music of polish composers – Jarzębski, Mielczewski and Szarzyński entitled Gościniec / Alta Via, released in 2018.
