Monika Pietruszewska
A graduate of the Academy of Music of Karol Lipiński in Wrocław and Hochschule für Musik in Würzburg. Soloist, chamber musician, orchestral 1st oboe and enthusiastic oboe teacher. She is interested especially in music for oboe and corno inglese, as well as EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument). She brings classical sound combined with electronics to the general public playing the last of them. For years, she has been training her skills under the guidance of outstanding artistic personalities of oboe playing, incl. Ingo Goritzki (Stuttgart), Florenel Ionoaia (Bucharest), Gregor Witt (Rostock), Jochen Müller-Brincken (Würzburg), Diethelm Jonas (Lübeck), Petr Tavernaro (Linz), Michael Niesemann (Essen) and many others. Since 2012, she has been leading her own oboe class at the 1 st ans 2 nd degree in General Music School of Karol Szymanowski in Wrocław. Her pupils win prizes at regional and national competitions. She initiated the grounding the creation of the Quadriga Quartetto chamber ensemble, which won the GRAND PRIX in the International Master Competition for Music Teachers in Warsaw in April 2018. As a soloist, she performs with Amati Ensemble (München) and Camerata Wrocław, honoring cultural events in Germany and Lower Silesia, also performing premieres of the pieces composed especially for her, incl. oboe or corno inglese. She also fulfills herself as an orchestral musician by working for Theatre of Music Capitol in Wrocław and the Neue Lausitzer Philharmonie in Görlitz. The artist actively performs with many orchestras in Poland and abroad: incl. Junge Philharmonisches Orchester Niedersachsen, Würzburger Kammerorchester, Kammerorchester Bad Mergentheim, Roncole Verdi Orchestra, Milano Festival Opera, Sound Factory Orchestra and cooperates with polish cultural institutions: NOSPR (Katowice), NFM (Wrocław), Lower Silesian Philharmonic (Jelenia Góra), Silesian Philharmonic (Katowice). Since 2019, she has continued to develop her music passions at the doctoral school of the Academy of Music of Feliks Nowowiejski in Bydgoszcz under the supervision of Krzysztof Wroniszewski.
